1. INCIDENT SUMMARY
A basket of freshly washed, neatly folded laundry was left on the sofa prior to the household vacating the premises. Upon return the following morning, the top layer of clothing was discovered to be heavily contaminated with white dog hairs.
Initial assessment suggested a deliberate infiltration. Subsequent investigation confirmed that the primary suspect, Miles (Pointer‑Beagle Mix, Serial Offender), had entered the laundry basket and compressed himself into an unnaturally compact configuration consistent with intentional nesting behaviour.
Detective’s Note:
I knew before I even reached the sofa. There’s a particular silence in this house that only happens when Miles has done something he’s proud of.

A detailed forensic sketch documenting the suspect’s position at the time of the offence. The rendering captures:
- Distorted Basket Structure — consistent with a 20+ kg canine compressing himself into a space designed for socks, not sentient beings
- Canine Hairs (White) — visible along the rim and interior, confirming full‑body contact
- “Pointer Pretzel” Position — limbs folded in a configuration that defies veterinary science
- Compressed Clothing — indicating prolonged nesting behaviour and total disregard for laundry integrity
Officer’s Assessment:
The sketch corroborates all previously documented evidence. It supports the conclusion that the suspect entered the basket willingly, intentionally, and with zero shame.

Sergeant Martin’s Note:
“I still don’t understand how he bent like that. I think he’s part ferret.”
